During my recent weekend escape to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Cavour, a beautifully restored medieval palace that elegantly marries charm with modern luxury. The standout feature for me was undoubtedly the chic rooftop bar, the Michelangelo Terrace, which offered a stunning panoramic view of the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio-a perfect backdrop for an evening of stylish cocktails with friends. Our mornings began with an impressive breakfast buffet that left no culinary stone unturned, featuring everything from fresh pastries to gluten-free options, ensuring everyone in our party found something delightful. The location is also a dream; it's just a five-minute stroll to Florence's renowned attractions, making it an ideal base for our explorations. What truly set the Grand Hotel Cavour apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were not only friendly but genuinely attentive, making us feel welcomed and well-cared-for during our stay. After a long day in the city, retreating to our immaculately clean rooms, equipped with exhilarating air conditioning, felt like a true luxury. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a refined taste of Italian luxury combined with the thrill of fashion and culture.
